Product recalls are actions taken by the manufacturer, reseller, or a government agency in order to protect consumers from harm. Alert mechanisms have been created, such as a manufacturer’s warning, but these are only available to buyers who have filled out their warranty information or otherwise registered their purchase.
Using Recall.Report’s database you can search for the products you use every day in order to see if they have been affected by a product recall, how significant the recall was, what the problem with the product was, and which SKUs were affected.
This site will also tell you what actions to take to remedy an unsafe product. You might have to throw the product away or return it to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.
