Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: Serene Float Tanks Units: 5 Manufacturer: Brian Smith, dba Serene Float Tanks, of Lakewood, Calif. Hazard: Electrical components in the float tank are not grounded, which can prevent the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) from tripping when needed, posing an electrocution hazard to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: None reported. Description: This recall involves Serene Float Tanks, a water tank that is light- and soundproof, temperature insulated and ventilated. The heated tanks are filled with water and a dissolvent that allows a person to float effortlessly. Sold by: The Serene Float Tanks Web site between August 2007 and October 2007 for about $6,000.
