Consumers should stop using the product immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of product: Astroslide Inflatable Water Slides Units: About 7,500 Distributor: Aviva Sports, of Osage Beach, Mo. Hazard: These water slides have an excessive length of rope attached to the safety mat that presents a risk of entanglement in the water. This poses a drowning hazard to users. Incidents/Injuries: Aviva has received one report of a child being tangled on the rope in the water. No injuries have been reported. Description: The Aviva Astroslide 17048 is a large, inflatable water slide measuring 5-feet high and 9-feet long. It is used for sliding into a pool or lake. "AVIVA AstroSlide" is written on the sides of the slide. The slide is green with orange handles. Sold At: Sporting good stores nationwide from January 2004 through May 2004 for about $99.
