Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: John Deere GX85 and SX85 Riding Lawn Mowers Units: 4,400 Manufacturer: Deere & Company of Moline, IL Hazard: The fuel tanks can crack and leak fuel presenting a potential for fire or burn injuries. Incidents/Injuries: : John Deere is aware of 37 instances of replacement of the fuel tank under warranty. There have been no reports of fires, injuries or property damage. Description: The recalled lawn mowers are green with yellow trim and have either GX85 or SX 85 on the side of the riding mower and a John Deere symbol on the front end and involve the following machines: Model Serial Numbers GX85 MOGX85X145887 through 149328 SX85 MOSX85X125374 through 126508 Sold at: Authorized John Deere dealers in the United States and Canada from November 2003 through July 2004 for between $2,000 and $2,400. Manufactured in: United States Remedy: The company is directly notifying those consumers who purchased affected mowers. .
