Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: ICE Bar Stools Units: About 400 Importer: Calligaris USA Inc., of High Point, N.C. Hazard: The seat on the bar stools can detach, causing the consumer to fall and suffer injuries. Incidents/Injuries: Calligaris has received five reports of the seats detaching. No injuries have been reported. Description: This recall involves Calligaris bar stools with a contemporary design. The stools have a black or chrome metal base, a low-back, and plastic seats that come in orange, black, white, green, or clear. The words “ICE” and “Calligaris” are engraved on the underside of the seat. Sold through: Furniture stores nationwide from November 2005 through September 2006 for between $250 and $600. Manufactured in: Italy Remedy: Consumers should stop using these bar stools immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a merchandise exchange or a full refund of the purchase price.
