Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: Snap Beads Units: About 40 units Distributor: Edushape Ltd., of Deer Park, N.Y. Manufacturer: Xiamen Xinlu Machinery Co., Ltd., China Hazard: The tip of the snap bead peg may break off under repetitive pressure, posing a choking hazard to small children. Incidents/Injuries: None reported. Description: The recalled product is multicolor and textured soft plastic beads that are designed to connect to one another. The beads are packaged in a 6” x 6” x 8” clear plastic jar with a photo of a child playing with the beads on the label. The word “Edushape” is written on the label in green and red. Sold at: Various retail stores and online from July 2009 to September 2009 for about $20. Manufactured in: China Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the snap beads and contact Edushape for a replacement set.
