A support brace located on the ladder's base section could interfere with the operation of the rung locks. If the brace interferes with the locks, the ladder may appear to be securely locked in place when it is not. As a result the ladder could collapse causing a person standing on the ladder to fall and be seriously injured. Keller Industries sold the ladders under the brand names "Keller" and "Columbia".
