Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: Magnets Units: About 87,000 Importer: American Scientific LLC, of Columbus, Ohio Hazard: Surface paint on the magnets can contain high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. Incidents/Injuries: None reported. Description: This recall involves horseshoe, rectangular bar and U-shaped magnets sold primarily to schools for use in science classes. The magnets have red and blue paint on the surface of the magnet.
